08 June 2020 Red bad weather alert in some sectors of Lombardy Orange alert on the basins of Lombardy and Veneto. Yellow in eight regions. This is what emerges from the weather report of the Department of Civil Protection.

The perturbation of northern European origin still affects our country and in particular the northern regions, bringing very unstable weather, with rain and thunderstorms widespread until tomorrow.

The Department of Civil Protection has issued a new warning of adverse weather conditions, which complements and extends the previous one and which predicts from the early afternoon of today, Monday 8 June, the persistence of widespread rainfall, also of a reversed or thunderstorm nature, over the Valley D'Aosta, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy and Veneto. The phenomena will be accompanied by heavy showers, frequent electrical activity, hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.

On the basis of the phenomena in progress, the red alert on some sectors of Lombardy is scheduled for today, June 8th. For tomorrow, 9 June, an orange alert is assessed on some basins in the Veneto and some areas of Lombardy and a yellow alert on Umbria, Marche, Friuli Venezia Giulia, on sectors of Piedmont, Liguria, Abruzzo, Sicily and on the remaining basins in the Veneto.
