US President Donald Trump ordered a withdrawal from state defense forces in Washington, DC, in connection with protests against black deaths Saturday.

In a post on Twitter today, President Trump said, "As everything is under full control, I have just ordered our state defense forces to begin the process of withdrawing from Washington DC."

When it comes to protests over the weekend, he claimed, "There were far fewer protests than expected last night."

In a tweet posted the previous night, President Trump said, "There are a lot less crowds than expected." The State Defense Force, Secret Service (SS) and DC Police did a fantastic job. Thank you."

CNN reported that President Trump's move came amid several days of peaceful protests.

The Washington Post (WP) said that President Trump tweeted after more than 10,000 people marched in Washington DC in a generally "festival protest" atmosphere, saying, "Signs that tensions that have swallowed up the city are beginning to soften." I did.

According to CNN, approximately 5,000 troops have been deployed in the capital area, including 1,200 in Washington DC and 3,900 in 11 neighboring states.

However, CNN said President Trump did not specify whether to withdraw all of these state defense forces or to refer only to state defense forces from other states.

Earlier in the day, Washington DC National Guard commander William Walker said in an interview with CNN the previous day that "at the request of the Ministry of National Defense, the national defense forces from 11 states will leave Washington on the 8th."

In preparation for the protests, military forces waiting near Washington, DC have also begun to return under the direction of Defense Secretary Mark Esper.
