The tender involves master classes in the framework of the program “Bosnia and Herzegovina: Young Leaders”. It aims to convey to the Bosnians the American experience of citizen participation in the decision-making process so that, having received the relevant knowledge, "they can create opportunities for economic development in their communities."

“The participants in this program should be introduced to the concept of civic participation in the United States as a means of improving communities, government institutions and services, as well as provide skills that will be useful for them to implement projects when they themselves will act as leaders of civil society,” the text says .

After completing the training course, students “along with an understanding of the essence of civic participation” should have the opportunity to apply the knowledge “in the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the document says.

As part of the initiative, it is expected that issues of political leadership, volunteering, entrepreneurship, as well as the protection of rights and freedoms, can also be discussed.

The grant amount for the implementation of the program should not exceed $ 60 thousand. NGOs and NGOs established in BiH can apply for participation in the competition.

Earlier, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced its intention to finance a program for the protection of human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

To implement the initiative, USAID planned to allocate up to $ 9.2 million.
