<Anchor> Under the

National Assembly law, by today (8th), each standing committee chairman is to be elected, but the opposition parties are unable to find an agreement. When the negotiations finally break down, the possibility of the Democratic Party holding a plenary session and forcing a permanent chairman is raised.

This is a report from Jung Yun-sik.

<Reporter> The

opposition leader, Iya, negotiated with the chairman of the National Assembly yesterday afternoon and continued to have a conversation until dinner, but could not agree on the issue of allocating the permanent chairman.

This is because the opposition parties held their position that they could not give up as much as the chairman of the judiciary who has jurisdiction over the system.

The Democratic Party is said to have suggested that if the United Party yields to the chair of the judiciary, seven seats will be allocated to the United Party, according to the number of seats among the 18 standing chairpersons.

However, the United Party contends that it is unable to give the Super ruling party's only legislative stand to check abuse of legislative powers.

Chairman Park Byeong-suk called on both parties to submit a request for a standing appointment by 12:00 noon today.

[Park Byeong-suk/President of the National Assembly: I think it's time not to try to persuade the opposition party, but to persuade the party concerned and discuss it with both security.] As the

Democratic Party has professed'the law of the National Assembly', if the compromise is finalized, today's plenary session will be held alone. You can also open and press to elect a permanent chairman.

However, if you read all 18 standing chairpersons, it can lead to extreme confrontation, and there is a possibility of oppressing the unified party by electing some standing chairpersons.
