Over the past 24 hours, 8,984 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Russia, of which 1956 are the most in Moscow.

The total number of detected cases of COVID-19 in the country reached 467 673, 226 731 people have already recovered from the disease, 5 859 patients have died.

The operational headquarters for monitoring the situation with coronavirus specified that more than 85% of newly diagnosed cases in Moscow are under the age of 65, more than half are under the age of 45, 7.1% of them are children.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Russia, according to Rospotrebnadzor, more than 12.7 million tests have been performed to detect coronavirus infection. 318,846 people are under medical supervision due to suspected COVID-19.

The situation with testing in his region was told by the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov.

“We are increasing testing: it was 10 thousand, 15 thousand, now we have already jumped over testing for 20 thousand every day,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Vorobyov also said that in the suburbs for the first time since the start of the pandemic, the number of people discharged from hospitals after COVID-19 exceeded the number of hospitalized ones.

“This allowed us to open MFCs, hairdressers and saunas,” he said.

State Duma deputy, former chief sanitary officer of Russia Gennady Onishchenko expressed the opinion that in Moscow it is possible to move to a more decisive lifting of restrictive measures introduced due to the threat of the spread of the disease.

“I see with satisfaction that there are conditions for this. The main thing is that people understand the seriousness of the situation. This is a basic condition. Therefore, in Moscow it is necessary to go to the removal of restrictions, ”he stressed.

“More radical decisions” to exit the restriction regime were previously made by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. He noted that further steps will be taken, including taking into account the development of the situation after the introduction of a special schedule of walks, valid until June 14th. The mayor recalled that in the capital there were fewer cases of detected cases of COVID-19, and Muscovites clearly comply with the requirements for maintaining social distance and mask-glove mode.

At the same time, the RBC publication, citing sources, claims that in Moscow in the near future they can cancel the digital pass system. It is noted that this can be announced on Monday, June 8. There is no official confirmation of this information yet.

President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with cultural figures, which took place in a video conference format, announced the need to get out of the situation with restrictive measures consciously.

“We will strive to get out of the situation as quickly as possible, consciously, calmly, but as quickly as possible,” he said.

Also during the meeting, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova expressed the hope that the situation with the coronavirus “will go as it goes,” and called on the Russians “to complete and perfectly fulfill all today's requirements” in order to avoid deterioration of the situation.

Recall, on June 1, during a meeting with President Popova, she announced that Russia went through an acute phase of the situation with COVID-19. According to her, since the introduction of restrictive measures on identified cases, "the growth rate has decreased 13 times," and the spread coefficient has also decreased three times.

“Over the past two weeks, this coefficient has not exceeded unity in the whole country, but was more than three,” she added.

Currently, Popova clarified, more than half of all cases of COVID-19 are asymptomatic.

Meanwhile, other Russian regions also continue to weaken restrictive measures. So, the authorities of the Kaliningrad region decided on June 7 to lift the ban on the work of libraries, baths and showers. In addition, citizens are allowed individual lessons in sports and fitness centers. In addition, the region does not need to wear a mask when walking on the street.

In turn, the leadership of Tatarstan canceled the glove-mask regime in public places in the open air.

“It is preserved in closed spaces (mask mode), in parks, squares, and so on, where we used to have masks and gloves, it was canceled,” TASS quoted Lilia Galimova, head of the press service of the president of the republic. Since June 5, saunas and baths have also opened in the region.
