In large cities such as Washington, DC, New York, and Los Angeles, there have also been massive street marches involving thousands of people.

Downtown Washington, DC. Even in the early stages of the protests, shop windows were broken, and there were many traces of looting and arson, but it's hard to find them anymore.

In a few days of peaceful protests, President Trump ordered the withdrawal of 5,000 state defense forces mobilized in the capital, Washington.

New York City has lifted the curfew.

[Protesters: We are peaceful protesters. There is no reason to be arrested for being outside peacefully. No looting, no riots. We can stay outside.]

Amid the protests, police violence broke out again.

A video of a white police officer in Fairfax, Virginia, assaulting a black man who shouted on the street saying he couldn't breathe after shooting and tasting a black gun.

The Fairfax Police Department arrested the police officer and handed it over to the court, saying it was an unacceptable crime.
