In detail, hikers, recreational travelers and shopping malls said they saw a general commitment from residents. However, they noticed that there were cases of young people and families who were not committed to wearing masks or social divergence. They also saw children playing in greenery, without taking any preventive action from their families.

After a decision to reopen some of its destinations to the residents, normal life gradually returned to the emirate.

The Al Qasba Canal, the heart of Sharjah, the Al Majaz facade and the Khalid Corniche promenade witnessed a large number of residents flocking to it, after almost three months had passed since they committed to their homes, and did not leave them unless absolutely necessary, in response to health authorities ’instructions.

And the housewife confirmed the inability of the parents to compel their children to wear masks outside the house, "because it causes them shortness of breath and impedes their movement during play."

People at a family gathering in Al Majaz Park, who seemed devoid of health precautions, said they were not afraid of being infected with the virus, because they were careful not to mix with strangers. And a park noticed that "there are people practicing jogging on the Khalid Corniche promenade, without the muzzle, the majority of them are Asian nationalities."

The head of a family considered that "reopening some recreational areas calls for reassurance, and confirms the imminent return of life to normal", calling on the population to be optimistic about the next, but stressed the need to follow the precautionary measures to reduce HIV infections, leading to zero infection.

And the Sharjah Police considered that the return to normal life will not bear fruit without the cooperation of society with the official authorities, "because this requires the full commitment of all, citizens and residents", pointing out that "reaching the desired result depends on the extent of commitment to preventive measures."

She indicated that her security teams are present around the clock in all regions to educate society groups about the measures required to limit the spread of Corona, stressing the need to share responsibility and precautionary measures between all parties.

She asked the population to follow physical distance and wear masks in order not to be subject to legal accountability or violation, noting that it had organized programs to educate community members about the measures necessary to protect themselves and their families. She also supported health and community efforts, and was involved in organizing the disinfection and sterilization of roads and public squares.

She called on community members to adhere to the directives of the competent authorities in the state, to stay away from crowded places, not to go out except for necessity, to take measures to protect them and their families from being exposed to infection, and to follow instructions that help them avoid risks while walking in the re-opened areas.

Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) confirmed that it gradually reopened its tourist destinations in Sharjah, after taking the necessary precautionary and preventive measures, as part of efforts to limit the spread of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).

It showed that it provided visitors and destinations with the opportunity to enjoy their facilities, while maintaining physical distance, ensuring safety for all. She noted that the measures taken to limit the spread of Corona, and maintain the safety of community members, are to conduct comprehensive and continuous sterilization of sites, destinations, and facilities, to activate preventive and health measures to ensure the safety of employees, workers, business owners, visitors, and customers, and to provide facilities and restaurants with thermal monitoring devices with a view to conducting Thermal testing for its pioneers, providing it with hand sanitizers, a medical unit for emergency situations, and activating the precautionary measures for commercial facilities in the authority’s destinations so that children under the age of 12 and the elderly over the age of 60 are prohibited.

She indicated that the preventive measures also included guidelines for clients and visitors on the measures to be taken, including the use of face masks and gloves, applying social divergence and avoiding gatherings.
