June 7, 2020 "I don't seem to be surrounded more than I was in the first phase. In all these months I have heard all the time: Conte falls, Conte falls. It's part of the game, I learned not to be surprised. But as you can see and it will be seen, it is not so ". This was assured by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte in an interview on the front page of the Corriere della Sera, which highlights the urgency to act quickly."We cannot delay the confrontation with entrepreneurs, unions, categories. The urgency does not come from my whim but from the reality that presses. We must move immediately," says Conte. "I hear you need to do it calmly. But what calmness? We take a few days to fully involve the majority forces, and we do it. Then let's call it a pact, let's call it confrontation. But it should not be postponed."
Conte defines himself as a person "who cannot work without a strategy. And the one about the post-virus phase - he explains - I had already begun to prepare him during the emergency". Regarding the tensions in the majority, "the truth is that when you get to the substance of things, drying them from controversy, you realize that this majority is made up of responsible parties, who understand well what the priorities of the country are," says the Prime Minister.
"The climate is better than it seems. And some concerns of the Democratic Party have also come back," continues Conte. As for the Minister of Economy Gualtieri, "he has always shared everything with me and with me. As Prime Minister, I do not bypass anyone".
