During the fall, one of her earlier murals was painted "Arm's distance". As the mural could not be saved, a group of people who wanted to preserve Carolina Falkholt's art in Simrishamn chose to fund a new art project.

During Sunday morning, Carolina Falkholt began her two new murals on a hotel facade in Simrishamn.

- When the graffiti disappears in one place, it pops up in another place, says Carolina Falkholt.

She explains that the mural that was overpainted has been rectified in the form of a new painting.

- The art is immortal, says Carolina Falkholt.

The language has several dimensions

The names of the new murals are "Simrishand" and "Avigan". Simrish hand symbolizes the hero Simris who is a saving hand and stands for action. Simris helps women out of prostitution.

It is a colorful hand with ornate sharp nails. Fingers point towards the courtyard.

- The hand is the language and it is important, says Carolina Falkholt.

There is the Avigan which is an anagram. The mural consists of hands and in sign language form the word avigan.

- If you flip the letters in the newspaper, it becomes vagina and it is one of my favorite words, says Carolina Falkholt.

The two new murals are expected to be completed on June 12 and will remain permanent.

- They will stay until they rain, says Carolina Falkholt.
