Police were alerted just before 04 the night of Sunday to the woman's home. She had been aroused by a bang and then she confronted a man who was found in the home.
The man then left the place. Police went to the scene and have prepared a report of attempted theft by burglary. The apartment has been blocked off for a technical examination.
Police later discovered that there had also been burglaries in a nearby health center, where several windows were smashed. Even there, the police have prepared a report of theft by burglary.
