Beach security teams, affiliated to the Dubai Ports Police Station, have violated 221 people in just one day (last Friday), due to a lack of commitment to preventive measures to protect against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).

The director of the center of the Dubai Police, Colonel Saeed Al-Madhani, told «Emirates Today» that the majority of the violations recorded were not to wear a muzzle or to commit to social spacing, whose fine amounted to 3000 dirhams, pointing out that the public beaches in the emirate, especially «Kite Beach »It has witnessed heavy demand since it was reopened, and thousands came to it last Friday, and it was noted that many insisted on sitting near the facilities without commitment to the distance of the spacing, so they were violated, after nearly a week of warning and awareness.

Al-Madhani stated that tens of thousands of community members in various emirates flocked to the shores of Dubai as soon as it was announced that it would reopen about 10 days ago, and the center was ready in coordination with partners on two parallel tracks. The first is to ensure adherence to the instructions related to precautionary measures on the beaches, which is to maintain Social spacing, two meters between each visitor or family, and wearing a muzzle while on the beach after leaving the sea.

He added that the second track is to provide rescuers and guide boards that determine swimming times, to ensure the provision of maximum safety requirements for seafarers, pointing out that no incidents have been recorded since the reopening of the beaches, in light of the intensification of water bike patrols and rescuers along the emirate's beaches.

He pointed out that the beach security teams equipped with wireless drone drones «Drones» were keen to implement the precautionary measures on the beaches since they were reopened, noting that in the first days, awareness was limited to the importance of adhering to the instructions, especially the spacing and wearing of the muzzle while sitting on the beach or walk or Near facilities, such as restaurants, parking, and other places of services, and violations were not recorded in the first period except in the narrowest limits towards people who did not respond to warnings and insisted on overtaking repeatedly, so the alternative was to violate them.

He added that the beach security teams are keen at first to educate the sea goers that failure to adhere to the spacing or wearing the muzzle results in a violation of their financial fines 3000 dirhams, but that they were keen to distribute gags on beachgoers before entering and sensitizing them in a nice way to the importance of wearing them, so that no one has a justification for not Commitment.

He pointed out that despite the great demand on the beaches, especially «Kite Beach», last Friday, places for sitting and relaxing were available, but it was noted that some insisted on staying in the areas near the facilities such as restaurants and parking, so they were warned at the beginning, and in the absence of commitment 221 people were violated on all beaches on this day only, while the total number of violations recorded since the re-opening of the beaches was 316 violations.

Al-Madhani praised the cooperation of the majority of the public with precautionary instructions and procedures, stressing that the main goal of editing violations for non-compliant is to protect other families and committed individuals who consider the beaches of Dubai as an outlet for them, especially in light of the current conditions that imposed stay at home for a long time.

He stressed the necessity of appreciating the efforts made by the state in general, and the Dubai government in particular, in containing this crisis and limiting the spread of infection, and at the same time providing space for members of society to enjoy beautiful facilities such as beaches, indicating that the best expression of this appreciation is assuming responsibility to adhere to the instructions And precautionary measures to ensure the safety of all.
