“I need an operation, but it should be carried out by a doctor, who was found by my lawyers. In the medical unit of the UFSIN of Moscow, laparoscopic operations are not performed, they do not have such equipment. Therefore, I ask that a doctor with equipment be admitted to the SIZO hospital, ”Klin quoted the ex-colonel as saying.

Zakharchenko also told members of the PMC that for two months he had been deprived of the opportunity to correspond with relatives using the FSIN-letter electronic system, and now it is impossible to send written applications to the investigator from the detention center because of anti-epidemiological measures.

“Phone calls do not provide either. I can’t call the 73-year-old mother at the height of the epidemic and find out about her well-being. I am already 60 days in isolation. All this, of course, is an attempt to put pressure on me, ”Zakharchenko said.

According to Klin, Zakharchenko also conveyed a request to increase familiarization time with his new criminal case. So far, according to the ex-ladleman, out of 60 volumes he has read only two.

In addition, Zakharchenko appealed to members of the commission with a request to assist him in the transfer from the colony in Mordovia, where he was detained after his first sentence, closer to home.

Zakharchenko recalled that he was registered in Moscow, his parents live in the capital, and the colony for former police officers nearest to Moscow is in Ryazan.

The Moscow City Court last October reduced the sentence of Zakharchenko on charges of bribery from 13 years to 12.5. He was also sentenced to a fine of 117 million rubles and deprived of the rank of colonel.

In February 2020, the Investigative Committee of Russia brought him a new charge on two episodes of receiving a bribe totaling more than 1.5 billion rubles. March 30, Zakharchenko was taken to Moscow and placed in jail No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.
