The single accident occurred the night of Saturday on Folkparksvägen in Västervik's urban area. For some unknown reason, the car drove off the road and into a tree.

In total there were four people in the car: the driver and three other young people, all under the age of 18.

Everyone in the car had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. According to Kalmar Region, two of them, two teenage girls, are seriously injured and admitted to Västervik's hospital. Both boys must have survived minor injuries and did not need to be hospitalized.

Had no driver's license

The driver, a boy born in 2003, is suspected of drunk driving and unlawful driving because he did not have a driver's license. According to police data, the accident car should be a regular passenger car, and not an A-tractor.

Hearing with the injured has not been held yet, but the police hope to be able to hold supplemental hearings on Saturday.
