June 06, 2020 He killed his ex-wife and current partner in Austria and fled aboard a car. Arriving in Italy, when Border Police officers were approaching his car, he pulled out his gun and committed suicide.

The protagonist is a 64-year-old Austrian citizen. According to a first reconstruction, the man killed, apparently with an ax, his ex-wife, 62, in the hamlet of Wernberg, then he drove by car to the village of Drobollach, on the shores of the lake, and with gunshots in front of passers-by and a child, he killed a 56-year-old woman. The latter victim appears to have been his current partner.

Subsequently, the murderer fled aboard a white vehicle and crossed the border, which was, moreover, closed for movements without reasons following the restrictions for the coronavirus. According to a more detailed reconstruction made by the Italian police, the man in Tarvisio got out of the car, parked in the parking lot of a restaurant. When he noticed a patrol of agents walking in his direction, he pulled out his gun and fired two shots in the air. Immediately afterwards he turned the weapon on himself and killed himself.
