- Internationally, based on large Chinese studies, for example, there is much to indicate that this is happening within the family, where you see that there is a pattern. It is about long close contacts, not just running past, says state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell.

Maria Rotzén Östlund, Deputy Infectious Disease Doctor in the Stockholm Region, is on the same line.

- Therefore, it is extra important that you do not meet the elderly, so that they do not get that first sneeze if you just get sick, she says.

At the workplace

Everything is about close contact, explains Anders Tegnell.

- Risk contacts are established at a distance of less than two meters. It happens in workplaces, he says.

- You should have meetings in the distance, and not be too close to each other. It is likely to be new at once if there is a lot of virus in the sneezing, so you should not be close to each other, says Maria Rotzén Östlund.

In public transport

Distances also apply in public transport, such as the subway or bus, explains Maria Rotzén Östlund. Although it can be difficult at times, when people stand packed in rush hour.

- If you notice that it is particularly crowded in a carriage, it is best to change, she says.

On trains and in airplanes

Trains and aircraft are also situations where there is a risk of being too close to one another, unless adequate action is taken. Now that we are traveling again, it is extra important to think about it.

- The distance of two meters still applies. However, it can be difficult on airplanes, says Maria Rotzén Östlund.

In restaurants and in bars

- Restaurants can be a place when you are close, and sit for a longer time, says Anders Tegnell.

Queuing outside can also be a problem, according to Maria Rotzén Östlund.

- I know most people work very well with security. But it happens that guests move around tables. There you have a responsibility yourself.

It happens that people drink from the glass of a hiker on the pub, but it must be avoided now, she emphasizes.

New contacts

Anders Tegnell explains what is to be avoided are new contacts, that is, to meet people who are usually not close.

- Then there will be fewer chains of infection. The French talk about living in their bubble. Then there will be no further spread.

Although the infection can still get into the bubble through the contacts with others that you still have. Then it is important to keep it there and not spend time with new people, he notes.

Outside

Outdoors are usually good, and that is where we are referred to meet others, in the distance. But here too there are risks.

- In the parks in Stockholm it is too dense. That means a risk, too, ”says Maria Rotzén Östlund.
