All the passengers of the Madrid-Lanzarote flight in which a man who had tested positive for coronavirus was traveling have tested negative, according to sources confirmed by the Canary Islands Ministry of Health, which confirmed that Europa Press the initial traveler who skipped isolation has also tested negative.

In this sense, the events took place last Friday, May 29, when the man, without knowing the results of his PCR, got on the plane without respecting the isolation that he had to keep because he was direct contact with a family member who died of coronavirus.

Previously, the man, who lives in Lanzarote, had traveled to the municipality of Manzanares, in the province of Ciudad Real, after being informed that his mother was in poor health on May 18 due to complications from her illness, dying the day may 23.

After the woman's death, it was detected that she was positive in Covid-19, which is why the protocol was applied to all people who had direct contact with her and, when performing the PCR on her son, he tested positive for coronavirus , although the man got on the plane without knowing the results of these tests.

Immediately afterwards, the health authorities of Castilla-La Mancha tried to locate the man to inform him of his positive PCR. However, at that time he was already flying to Lanzarote, which caused the La Mancha executive to notify the Canary Islands Civil Guard to report that there was a person who had taken a flight on the Madrid-Lanzarote route and had been in direct contact with a deceased by Covid-19, also alerting that the man's PCR was positive for coronavirus.

All these events caused the action protocol to be activated for such a case, so that when the plane landed in Lanzarote, the Civil Guard was already waiting.

The man had to be isolated then, like the 14 people around him, although now, once all the PCRs have been carried out, they have all tested negative.
