06 June 2020A 16-year-old boy died drowned this afternoon in a lake in Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia), in Oltrepò Pavese. The alarm went off around 2.30 pm when it was reported that a young man had disappeared in the waters of the "7 lakes" (it is the name of the locality of the Oltrepò municipality, frequented mainly by fishermen). It took hours to find and recover the body. And the dynamics and causes of drowning remain to be determined.The firefighters immediately went to the place where the boy sank and started the searches, with the help also of the divers who arrived from Lake Iseo where they were carrying out another operation. For a few hours it was hoped that the report had been incorrect.
Shortly before 17.30, however, his lifeless body was found, at a depth of about 5 meters and about ten meters from the shore.
The carabinieri, the mayor of Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia) and the 118 operators who could not help but ascertain the death of the
16 year old also went to the place .
