Today's memorial ceremony for the Memorial Day was reduced to 300 people due to Corona 19 and was held at the National Daejeon Memorial Hall, not Seoul.

In doing so, we reaffirmed the origin of our troops in the Independence Army and the Liberation Army.

President Moon expressed his will to support the honorable lives of merit and survivors, especially as Veterans are the basic responsibility of the nation.

However, the fact that the West Sea survivors were not invited to the memorial ceremony also caused controversy.

The Blue House and the National Veterans Affairs Office explained yesterday that "the number of invitations was reduced and the Veterans Organization voluntarily made recommendations for invitations, but they were omitted from the list."
