In recent months, burglaries of a particular nature have multiplied in Montauban. The thief left with bottles of wine or champagne. A pronounced taste for alcohol that put the police of the urban security brigade of the City of Ingres on a track.

After a burglary in a restaurant in mid-April, then another in late May, the neighborhood investigation directs the police towards a 30-year-old who is well known to the services, especially for his addiction to alcohol, says La Dépêche du Midi .

Arrested Wednesday, this 37-year-old man admitted in police custody that he was the author of other burglaries carried out last year in food stores, but also in a retirement home. There he left with several kilos of cheese, ham, champagne and nearly 115 bottles of wine.

A petty theft confirmed thanks to his DNA found on the spot. Brought to justice, he was to be tried immediately.
