Wang Xuguang said that in the prevention and control of water pollution, courts at all levels are firmly focused on the main goal of combating pollution. The basic means of service guarantee of the people’s courts, ecological protection of the Yellow River Basin and high-quality development are to try various cases. In recent years, the third-level courts in the nine provinces and districts of the river basin have accepted a large number of cases and have successfully tried a number of criminal, civil, administrative and public interest litigation cases involving water.
The data shows that the People's Court of Huangjiu Province has accepted 39 civil cases of water pollution in the first instance and concluded 32 cases, safeguarding the lives and health of the people and property safety; accepted 765 administrative cases of water environment in the first instance and concluded 722 cases.
Wang Xuguang mentioned that through the trial of these administrative cases, he supervised and supported the administrative organs to perform their duties of source protection and overall governance, and also focused on prevention for environmental governance, effectively played the role of people’s governments at all levels and their administrative departments, and performed strict administration according to law Related responsibilities.
At the same time, along with the People's Court of Huangjiu Province for more than a year, it has also accepted 11 first-instance water environment civil public interest litigation cases filed by social organizations and 142 first-instance water environment civil administrative public interest lawsuits filed by procuratorial organs. 120 pieces. Accepted 10 ecological and environmental damage compensation cases filed by provincial and municipal governments and their entrusted departments and agencies, and concluded 9 cases.
Wang Xuguang said that the People's Court and the People's Procuratorate uphold their respective judicial responsibilities and jointly perform various tasks of water pollution control in the Yellow River Basin.
