This was announced by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Moscow, Lee Sok Pae.

“Our government hopes that President Vladimir Putin’s visit to the Republic of Korea will take place this year, and our countries will conduct close consultations through diplomatic channels on the organization of this visit,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

The ambassador recalled that in 2020, South Korea and Russia celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

In February, the diplomat noted that South Korean President Moon Jae-in is interested in expanding cooperation between South Korea and the Russian Far East.
