“To establish that the government of the Russian Federation manages the activities of the Federal Tourism Agency,” the text of the document says.
According to the decree, the functions of development and implementation of state policy and normative regulation in the field of tourism and tourist activity are transferred to Rosturism.
Also, the functions of state supervision of the activities of tour operators and the association of tour operators in the field of outbound tourism are transferred to Rosturism.
In September 2018, according to RIA Novosti, Rostourism was transferred from the Ministry of Culture to the Ministry of Economic Development.
