In the United States, rallies and riots continue after the death of African-American George Floyd during police custody. At the same time, in order to ensure “order” during civil actions against excessive cruelty of law enforcement officers, the police often resort to forceful methods.

So, in Buffalo, New York, a 75-year-old man suffered - he was knocked down by two policemen. After the fall, the victim began to bleed, but not one of a dozen law enforcement officers tried to help him. At the same time, the report of the city police department said that the man allegedly stumbled and fell. However, the video appeared on social networks indicates the opposite.

“Tonight, after clashes between two separate groups of protesters participating in an illegal demonstration after curfew began, two Buffalo police officers knocked down a 75-year-old man. The condition of the victim is stable, but serious, ”wrote the mayor of Byron Brown.

In turn, the Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, said that it was necessary to investigate the incident, and before it ended, both police officers should be removed from duty.

Subsequently, the police were indeed removed.

In addition, in the city of Tampa Bay, police used pepper gas against demonstrators. According to law enforcement officers, the protesters forced them to use force, as the crowd tried to stop them from arresting a girl who waved at the police with an umbrella.

In Tampa Bay a woman got pepper sprayed. For asking the police to get off her friend's neck. HIS NECK. Utterly horrifying. No excuse for this. None Ever.

Earlier in Atlanta, police stopped a car in which there were two black students - a young man and a girl. They were harshly ordered to leave the vehicle. However, the young people delayed their actions, as a result of which the police fired at them from stun guns, after which they made detentions.

In the future, two police officers were fired, four more were suspended until the end of the investigation. Criminal cases have been instituted against all six. We add that in the end, the girl and the young man were not charged with any charges.

During the protests that took place in more than 500 US cities, more than 10 thousand people were arrested. According to the Associated Press, more than 25% of detentions occurred in Los Angeles.

Recall that on May 25, 46-year-old local resident George Floyd, who was detained by police in Minneapolis, died in a hospital. Initially, the police said that after their officers handcuffed the man, they noticed that he "needed urgent medical attention." However, a video was posted on the network that shows how one of the law enforcement officers pressed Floyd's neck with his knee when he was already lying on the ground. The man repeatedly complained that he had nothing to breathe, after which he lost consciousness.

The incident caused widespread resonance in American society, protests that spilled over into riots and clashes with the police began to take place throughout the country. The situation did not normalize even after the dismissal of the four police officers involved in the detention, as well as after the indictment of the murder of one of them - Derek Chauvin, who crushed Floyd's neck.

On Thursday, June 4, farewell ceremonies with a 46-year-old man took place in New York and in Minneapolis. Also, funeral services will be held in the city of Rayford and in Houston, where the funeral will be held.

At the same time, city officials agreed with the Minnesota Department of Human Rights that the police would no longer accept asphyxiation during detention. In addition, they will be obliged to suppress attempts by colleagues to unjustifiably use force methods. In addition, now for any use of special means for crowd control (batons, tear gas, rubber bullets, etc.), permission from the police chief or his deputy will be required.

We add that against the backdrop of protests throughout America in Washington, part of the street in front of the White House was renamed the Black Lives Matter Plaza. Thus, the city’s authorities immortalized the name of the movement that opposes violence against the black population. The corresponding video with a demonstration of the new road sign was published by the mayor of the city, Muriel Bowser.

In addition, US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the events following the death of an African American would have a positive impact on American civil society. According to the head of the White House, any American, regardless of race, color, gender or religion, should be entitled to the same treatment by a law enforcement officer.

“We all saw what happened last week. We cannot allow this to happen. I hope George now looks at us from heaven and says that something great is happening in our country. It is a great day for him. This is a great day for everyone. This is a great, great day in terms of equality, ”Trump said.

Also note that the American authorities on the eve of trying again to address the favorite in recent years, the theme of "foreign intervention." As Attorney General William Barr stated, “foreign actors play for all sides to exacerbate the violence.”

In response to this, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stressed that Washington is again trying to "explain internal problems with external factors."

“This is disrespect for US citizens whose problems without any evidence are attributed to“ foreign interference, ”she told RIA Novosti.

The position of the US Department of Justice was also not supported on Facebook, the world's largest social network. According to the head of the cybersecurity department of the company, Nathaniel Gleicher, at the moment there is no evidence of foreign interference in the protests.

“We would like to warn people not to draw conclusions that are not based on obvious evidence of foreign interference,” he told reporters.
