Regarding the refusal of foreigners to enter the country, the government plans to proceed with discussions with four countries such as Thailand and Vietnam to ease measures only for business people. For a certain period of time, we are considering to limit the movement to work.

Regarding the refusal of entry of foreigners by the government as a measure against the border of the new type coronavirus, four countries, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand, and business people The policy is to proceed with individual discussions to ease measures only for technical interns.

In future discussions, from the perspective of preventing the spread of infection, we are proposing a negative PCR test before visiting Japan and seeking to test at the airport when entering Japan.

Furthermore, a plan to exempt the waiting period for 2 weeks by restricting the movement to work or accommodations for a certain period after entering the country and requesting the submission of the plan during the stay is also being considered.

In the discussion, the countries will also ask for relaxation of the measures for refusal of immigration in Japan as well. Therefore, it is expected that Japanese business officials heading to each country will need to carry out PCR testing. Expansion is also an issue to be considered.

The government intends to proceed with discussions with the four countries, carefully observing the transition of the infection situation, and decide to ease the measures as early as this month.
