According to RIA Novosti, Lapshin said that on the morning of May 29, the leadership of the Krasnoyarsk Territory received a message from the Ministry of Emergencies, from which "it was impossible to conclude that a large-scale emergency event occurred."
“The meaning of the message was that as a result of a vehicle hitting a tank with oil products, partial depressurization and fire occurred. In the prescribed manner, response measures were taken, the fire was localized ... and then eliminated. The corresponding message to the leadership of the region, again through the Ministry of Emergencies, that the incident has been exhausted, has passed, ”he said.
Lapshin also added that the government of the region, while in an oral dialogue, tried to find out from NTEC detailed information about what had happened, asking leading questions.
“Received evasive and reassuring answers that there is generally no cause for concern and all the response measures on the spot have been taken,” he said.
Earlier, the court arrested Vyacheslav Starostin, the head of the CHP plant. It also became known that the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case of negligence due to untimely reporting of an emergency.
According to prosecutors, the area of pollution amounted to 180 thousand square meters. m
