  • The 2S2C (sport-health-culture-civism) system consists of offering activities to students who cannot currently be accommodated in class, taking into account the limited numbers defined by the health protocol.
  • Bordeaux quickly became involved in this system and more than 1,400 children benefit from extracurricular activities, on 112 natural, sports or cultural sites.
  • This Friday, it was at the Opera that fifty students were able to reconnect with culture and hear, sometimes for the first time, tunes of tango played by ten violists.

A deconfigured National Opera of Bordeaux, which stops being silent. This Friday, the large establishment on the Place de la Comédie welcomed more than 50 children. Fifty toddlers who returned to culture as part of the 2S2C (sport-health-culture-civism). The system consists of offering activities to pupils who cannot currently be accommodated in class, taking into account the limited numbers defined by the health protocol. On the program for this return to culture? A concert of more than forty minutes and a discovery workshop led by the mediator of the Opera, Julia Bonneau, and the manager of young audiences, Océane Dreanic.

Working within the cultural mediation service, both of them concocted an offer in less than three weeks "as soon as Edouard Philippe announced that the primaries were going back to school," explains Olivier Lombardie. The general administrator of the Opéra national de Bordeaux has a masked smile but sparkling eyes. The Opera hall, its staircases but above all the Grand Theater hall come to life. Second act in this cultural deconfinement of extracurricular activities started the day before.

Before the concert at the Opera, toddlers were made aware of musical instruments. - Marion Pignot

“It is a gradual return to culture, a united and civic operation, comments Olivier Lombardie. We are happy to be able to mobilize our forces again, to see our musicians or our dancers on stage in front of an audience. It is also an opportunity to test our reception health conditions. "

Ten musicians who share the stage while respecting the barrier meter

No mask for toddlers agitated and impressed by the wings of the costumes hanging from the ceiling. In small groups, they listen to Julia or Océane speak violas and archers. The presence of accompanying parents is required by the Opera, which is not there to provide daycare. The hydroalcoholic gel placed at the entrance is essential. In the Grand Théâtre, young audiences take up a seat in two, set back from the ten musicians who share the stage while respecting the barrier meter. The protocol is respected.

Same during the workshop. A large table for two students, happy to glue, cut, finally share a moment with friends. Everyone will leave with their "music session" booklet. The following, next week, will have the right to learn more about ballet. Then others on the choir and, finally, the last, on stage costumes. Until the summer school holidays, it is all the artistic strengths of the Opera that will be deconfined.

Our file on deconfinement

While these 50 primaries had the premiere of the Grand Théâtre, nearly 1,400 other students could discover Cap Sciences, the Chartreuse Saint-André, the Musée Mer Marine or find the animators of neighborhood houses. In total, 112 Métropole sites, all of which have been set up in less than three weeks, enough to allow children to finally reconnect with culture, sport or nature. At the Opera, the smiling toddlers discovered the archer's variations, from the most "ghostly" to the most "metallic". They applauded the tango and traveled to Spain thanks to Marin Marais and his Folies . All practically came from downtown Bordeaux. It remains today to get their comrades from the most popular neighborhoods so that these beautiful activities do not become a missed act.
