A 43-year-old man was sentenced to three years in prison, including one year suspended by the Evreux (Eure) court for acts of violence against the woman who lived with him on Tuesday, reports Paris Normandie . It is already the third time that this 40-year-old finds himself in court for acts of violence against three different companions.

The charges against him took place on March 27, in the middle of confinement, in Louviers. The victim alerted the police after his attacker slapped her and threw her to the ground, before kicking him at eye level. He also pulled her hair because she had been denied "a hug".

"I have to take care of myself"

When the police arrived, they found that the woman suffered from numerous bruises and that her left eye was swollen. She suffered a fractured orbital floor and was prescribed 45 days of ITT.

The man, who first denied the facts, was immediately detained. In front of the magistrates, he finally recognized acts of violence. "I am sick, I have to take care of myself," he said. His partner, through the voice of his lawyer, said he was ready to help.

However, the court followed the requisitions of the deputy prosecutor. He was sentenced to three years in prison, including one year suspended probation. He is also prohibited from coming into contact with the victim as well as from going to Louviers. A medical report must quantify the damage caused to the woman's eye.
