Prime Minister of Fiji, Furik «Frank» Bainimarama, has announced that the Pacific island nation no longer has any active cases of the emerging coronavirus.

Bainimarama tweeted on Twitter: “Even with the number of exams increasing day by day, it has been 45 days since the last case was discovered. And given that no deaths from Corona were recorded, the cure rate was 100%. ”

He added, "Responsive prayers, serious work, and an affirmation of the role of knowledge."

Fiji, which has a population of more than 900,000, has recorded 18 cases of Covid-19 disease caused by the emerging corona virus, since the first infection was discovered on the island on March 19. The last time Fiji recorded an injury was on April 21.

Earlier, Health Minister Ephraim Wakinpet said that he had announced the recovery of the last three cases of the virus, including a 12-year-old girl, yesterday morning, and three residents of the capital, Suva.

Fiji has conducted more than 2,000 tests to detect infections with the Coronavirus, and 100 patients with quarantine facilities are still without any positive tests.

The last time Fiji recorded an injury was on April 21.
