Enforcement of penalties and restraining driving Revised car driving punishment law enacted June 5 13:22

In order to prevent swaying and to obstruct the passage of traffic, stop the vehicle in front of the vehicle running on the highway, or stop it by approaching it significantly, and position it as "dangerous driving" and make the penalties heavy. The revised Motor Vehicle Penal Code was passed and passed at the House of Councilors plenary session on the 5th.

The revised car driving punishment law, which was voted at the plenary session of the House of Councilors on 5th and passed and was passed unanimously, is a "dangerous driving" that puts heavy weight on the penalties for traffic accidents due to malicious driving in order to prevent tilting driving. Two types are added to the regulation.

The two new types are both for the purpose of obstructing traffic:
▽Stopping or approaching in front of a moving vehicle at a speed that will cause serious traffic danger, and
▽High speed Cars that perform similar actions on roads and motorways are stopped or slowed down.

Regarding tilt driving, the law was revised after the wagon car that stopped at the Tomei Expressway in Kanagawa Prefecture in 2017 after being driven was hit by a subsequent truck, and four families in the family were killed or injured. Therefore, on 2nd of this month, the revised Road Traffic Law has been enacted, which enforces penalties for imprisonment for up to 5 years or less.
