A total of at least 34,000 people have died in the suites of the corona virus in Brazil since another 1,473 deceased were registered the last day, another new dark 24-hour record, according to authorities. In doing so, the country passes the previously hard-hit Italy, which so far has nearly 33,700 deaths.

More than 600,000 people have been found to be infected in Brazil, most in the world after the United States. However, experts claim that the actual number of infected people is significantly higher, as a relatively small proportion of the country's 210 million inhabitants have been tested.

President Jair Bolsonaro has been steadfast in his criticism of the restrictions imposed by local leaders in trying to curb the spread of infection. He has appeared several times during demonstrations and demonstrations and has broken the recommendations to limit physical contact and to keep distance.

Latin America, after China, Europe and the United States, has emerged as the new center for the infection. After Brazil, Mexico is the worst-hit country in the region seen to absolute deaths, with at least 12,500 deceased. Ecuador and Peru are also among the hardest hit countries.
