When Magnus Norlin, manager at Hotell Wilhelmina, sipped coffee with some of the staff, they suddenly saw something in the water in Lake Volgsjön. It was a reindeer herd that was heading towards the urban area.

- We took a cup of coffee and someone saw them through the window, they swam ashore and passed on the road just below the hotel. It was powerful to see even though you are a Norse and see reindeer quite often. When they are so close just off the balcony, says Magnus Norlin.

On the way to the mountain

- I asked a reindeer nurse if they were frightened by a bear or something else, and if that was why they made their way across the lake. But he said that it is the mountain that "pulls". It's their built-in GPS that tells them it's time to get to the mountain, says Magnus Norlin
