A landslide caused the ravage of a small village of eight houses to the sea, in Finnmark County in the far north of Norway.

The Russian agency "Sputnik" said that one of the local residents filmed terrifying footage to monitor the moment when the houses were eroded, while the competent authorities started rescue operations by air and sea.

Some of the villagers were evacuated by helicopter, while the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Authority is monitoring the situation, in anticipation of new crashes.

It is noteworthy that landslides represent an important geological hazard in most parts of Norway, and landslides are the movement of rocks and soil.
