Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said that he regretted that the Gulf crisis had entered its fourth year, but stressed that attempts were still being made to reconcile the parties to the crisis.

In a meeting with the editors-in-chief of a number of Kuwaiti newspapers, he added that the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, is concerned that Kuwait is always a university for the various parties, on the basis of achieving reassurance for any future agreement.

The Kuwaiti Prime Minister stated that he was sure that all the Gulf states see the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council states as important to them and to the region and the world, and that it is the common ground on which to build the gap.

In the context of the Gulf crisis, the Wall Street Journal reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump is pressuring Saudi Arabia and the UAE to stop the embargo they impose on Qatar Airways crossing the airspace of the two countries.

The newspaper said that Trump personally pressured Saudi leaders to end the air embargo, which often forces planes to fly over Iran, a move that gives Tehran the source of funding that the United States wants to cut off.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Trump administration has put aside comprehensive mediation efforts to end all aspects of the dispute as a result of repeated diplomatic setbacks, and instead focuses on solving one component, the issue of airspace.

On Friday, the Gulf crisis enters its fourth year, against the background of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt cutting ties with Qatar, and the four countries imposing a blockade on Doha for allegedly supporting terrorism, which Qatar strongly denies.

Kuwait is making efforts to mediate between the two parties to the crisis, but it has not yet been able to achieve a breakthrough that restores the situation to what it was between the six Gulf Cooperation Council states: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman.
