SMHI: Risk of grass fire throughout the county

With the week's warm temperatures and that much of the dry last year's grass remains, SMHI now warns of grass fire in Västerbotten County.

Svante Werger of the MSB said during Wednesday's press conference of the Public Health Authority that at least 31 grass fires and 34 forest fires have occurred around the country during the past 24 hours.

- It is essentially good, but it can also be a problem if we are as many as staying in nature, especially when the fire risk is as great as it is now.

SMHI writes on its website that “great care should be taken when firing outdoors. It is issued only as a risk and cannot be issued in a warning ”.
