One of the tools to support them could be to simplify the procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship, he wrote.
“We ask you to consider the possibility of simplifying the procedure for obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation for foreign students who have volunteered during the fight against coronavirus infection, in terms of reducing the requirement for the presence of aggregate labor activity in the Russian Federation to one year, including the period of their volunteering ", - the text of the appeal says.
The author of the initiative also specified that at present foreign students can apply for Russian citizenship after graduation and if they have three years of work experience.
Earlier, Prime Minister Mishustin approved the rules for special payments for volunteer activities during the coronavirus pandemic. For these purposes, allocated more than 145 million rubles.
