It was during the Wednesday afternoon that the heavy landslide occurred. No human was harmed. A dog was also pulled into the landslide and ended up in the water, but it managed to save itself by swimming ashore.
The edge of the landslide has been measured at 650 meters, and parts of the landslide are 140 meters deep.
- There is a large amount that has been pulled down into the sea, says Anders Björdal at the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate.
