Like the premium for carers in the hospital sector and nursing homes, the government is about to announce an exceptional bonus for all professionals in the social and medico-social sectors, including child welfare and assistance to migrants and refugees.

INFO EUROPE 1

Strongly mobilized during the coronavirus crisis, many medico-social professionals expected government recognition for their commitment. Especially since the executive had already announced a bonus for carers in hospitals, as well as for staff of Ehpad. However, there was still uncertainty about the other trades in the sector. But in the decree which will be published soon in the Official Journal, and which Europe 1 was able to consult, this premium will be well extended to all medico-social personnel, including those in the private sector.

Social assistance for children and assistance to migrants and refugees will be entitled to the premium

The exceptional premium will therefore also concern social establishments: social assistance for children, the services of the Judicial Protection of Youth, services for adults in social difficulties (Samu Social, emergency accommodation, social reintegration, etc.), establishments for asylum seekers and refugees. The personnel of the medico-social establishments, like the services welcoming elderly people or adults and children with disabilities, will also be rewarded.
