The coronavirus left 29,0656 dead in France according to the latest report Thursday. This assessment does not include deaths occurring in social and medico-social establishments in the past 24 hours, the next update of which is scheduled for June 9. The decline in hospitalizations and resuscitation continues. 

The coronavirus epidemic has caused 44 new deaths in hospitals in France in 24 hours, bringing the total toll to 29,065 deaths since the start of the epidemic, according to the daily report released by the Ministry of Health Thursday. This assessment does not include deaths in social and medico-social establishments during the past 24 hours, the next update of which is scheduled for June 9.

1,163 patients in intensive care

The decline in hospitalizations and resuscitation is still continuing. There are 13,101 people hospitalized for Covid-19 infection and 195 new admissions were registered in 24 hours.

1,163 people with a severe form of Covid-19 were hospitalized in intensive care on Thursday, including 23 new serious cases admitted to intensive care. The balance remains negative in intensive care, with 47 patients less compared to Wednesday. Four regions, Ile de France, Grand-Est, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Hauts-de-France account for 75% of patients hospitalized in intensive care. Since the start of the epidemic, 102,283 people have been hospitalized, including 18,042 in intensive care. The ministry also specifies that 69,976 people returned home.
