ShareMarch 12, 2019 Involves several Italian regions in the operation of the provincial command of the Carabinieri of Padua and of the Guardia di Finanza of Venice against the 'ndrangheta in Veneto. 33 people arrested and assets seized for 10 million euros. About 50 searches between Treviso, Vicenza, Padua, Belluno, Rovigo, Reggio Emilia, Parma, Milan and Crotone.
The investigations, which started at the end of 2015, concern the infiltration of organized crime linked to the Cutresi clan into the economic fabric. The suspects are accused of mafia-type criminal association aimed at money laundering, usury, kidnapping, extortion and issuing of non-existent invoices.
"Whether it is organized crime or not, these figures must understand that Veneto is a land of honesty and legality, which does not tolerate criminals". So the President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia who added: "Hard bread to chew for crime, and it will be more every day. That is zero tolerance".
