A 44-year-old man was arrested by Rennes police earlier this week. Already well known to the police and the justice system, he is suspected of multiple burglaries. The individual has the particularity of acting around his home, in the eastern districts of Rennes. Investigators say the man is flying less than a kilometer from his home. A distance linked to his movement authorization imposed during confinement? Rather a logistical constraint. Investigators say the alleged thief only travels by bike and on foot to rob. "A real bandit," says a police source.

If the investigators' work has been made so complicated, it is because the man is not very attentive to the goods he steals. If he is suspected of having stolen a car, jewelry and multimedia equipment, the forties is also suspected of having stolen toothbrushes, hygiene products, toilet paper, cleaning products. During a burglary at a local butcher, he stole 40 kg of meat.

Placed in police custody, the man denied the facts and responded very little to the police. His DNA was however found at the scene of a robbery and his face appears on video surveillance images. Already condemned to a prison sentence, he was to be tried in immediate appearance this Thursday at the end of the day.
