The Swedish Transport Administration after the tragic train accident in Västerås: "It is fatal to be in the rail area"

Both the police and the Swedish Transport Administration are now launching separate investigations into the accident.

- We want to see if there is anything that we can learn more in terms of security in this event.

According to the Swedish ESA, seven people have died in similar electrical accidents at the railroad track in Sweden over the past decade. The majority of those affected are young men. The Swedish Transport Administration has tried different methods to prevent this type of accident and believes that information efforts are the most effective.
