The French capital, Paris, witnessed last night violent confrontations between the police and demonstrators preceded by marches demanding accountability for the killers of a black young man by the police in Paris in 2016 and in solidarity with protesters of the American police violence.

Clashes erupted on the sidelines of this demonstration, in which some 20,000 people participated, to protest against the violence of the French police, and it was organized on the initiative of the relatives of the young black man Traore who is originally from Mali and was killed during his arrest on July 19, 2016.

Despite the ban,
and although the authorities banned this demonstration because of the emerging Corona virus crisis, the organizers insisted that it be conducted, in a protest that falls in the context of the United States a week of violent demonstrations and riots protesting the killing of black citizen George Floyd asphyxia under the knee of a white policeman in American city of Minneapolis.

The demonstrators in Paris raised the slogans "black lives are of value", "I cannot breathe" and "Adama's justice".

On the sidelines of the demonstration that took place in front of the court headquarters in north-eastern Paris, clashes took place between the security forces and a group of protesters, interspersed with throwing projectiles, erecting barricades and barricades and using tear gas canisters.

In the neighboring Clichy district, protesters smashed the windows of the police station and the municipality.

During the demonstration, Ada Traore, sister of Adama Traore, gave a speech in which she addressed the protesters by saying "Today, when we fight for George Floyd we fight for Adama Traore." The protesters responded by saying "revolution," and "everyone hates the police."

This demonstration, which took place in front of the Palace of Justice, the largest court in the capital, comes as part of a wave of global protests against the phenomena of racism and excessive police violence against minorities, after the killing of the American Floyd.
