The Government of Navarra is applying its protocols to investigate the suicide of a minor under the age of nine who was under his tutelage in a flat in Tudela , after having withdrawn parental authority from the family.
The first vice-president of the Government of Navarra, Javier Remírez , has stated, to questions from journalists at the end of a press conference, that this fact "is under investigation, we are applying the protocols that we have in the Government, investigating this situation and maintaining due prudence for an event as mourning as this. The minor had been transferred a few months ago by Social Rights to a supervised apartment in Tudela after the grandmother lost parental authority at the end of last year.
According to the Diario de Navarra , it was last Tuesday when around 10:00 p.m. the boy retired to his room and shortly afterwards was found by his partner, already in cardiorespiratory arrest and with a series of self-inflicted injuries.
After being treated at first instance in Tudela, the boy was transferred to Pamplona , to the Hospital Complex of Navarra, and died yesterday afternoon.
