- You put in seeds and plants and water. Then it grows, Oscar Thorsson tells about how it is possible to grow.

He is allowed to devote himself to his interest at Stenbacka preschool in Asarum, which has established an own cultivation called the Humlegården. The idea was born after the corona eruption, when fewer children attend preschool and many activities are canceled.

- We have created this garden because we needed to do something positive now during the corona times, says Rebecca Jeppsson, who is a preschool teacher.

Spices, berries and vegetables

Here, the staff and preschool children together collect mint, chives, basil, rhubarb, strawberries, potatoes and other spices, berries and vegetables.

- We have chosen to call it a taste garden because we grow things that can be eaten, says Rebecca Jeppsson.

Tasting the harvest is exactly what Oscar Thorsson does.

- I taste the chives. That's good, he says.

Do you need to clear weeds as well?

- Yes, but it's not difficult. You just put on your gloves and pull it up, says Oscar Thorsson.
