The director of the Kalba branch in the Public Works Department in Sharjah, Eng. Shayer Al-Mansouri, revealed that the percentage of construction of the workers ’housing building, office building, warehouse, service building, maintenance workshops and external works for the municipality of Wadi Al Helu reached 85% at a cost of 12 million dirhams.

She added that the project extending over an area of ​​more than 22,000 square meters includes the construction of various buildings, including the workers housing building, service building, warehouse building, a workshop for maintenance of equipment, a guard room, and a special nursery office surrounded by a decorative wall.

She stated that the department has started laying out designs for a sports club and a civil defense center, in addition to a special club for boys within the future projects included in the development plan of Wadi Al Helu, noting that all of these projects are in the engineering design and accreditation stage.

Al-Mansoori continued: “The valley of the Hilo Mountains is being afforested at a cost of seven million dirhams, with a completion rate of 60%, and includes beautifying the entrance to the Valley of the Hilo by cutting three mountains and making gradations with them, so that agricultural ponds and trees are subsequently worked, according to the strategic department’s goals to increase the proportion of green areas ».

The department is carrying out a number of maintenance projects that are considered to be among the most prominent projects currently underway in the city of Kalba, namely the maintenance of the Amiri Diwan building and the wali al-Wali break in Wadi al-Hilu, and a number of other government departments, as well as the maintenance and construction of the decent housing for a number of imams of mosques in the city.
