“The court, after hearing the opinions of the parties, decided to satisfy the request of the investigation and extend the arrest of Arashukov until July 20, 2020,” the TASS court press service quotes.

Earlier, the first court of appeal of Moscow quashed the decision of the Moscow City Court to extend the arrest of Arashukov and sent the case to the court of first instance for a new consideration.

In early March 2019, Raul Arashukov, adviser to the CEO of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz, was charged with embezzlement and the creation of a criminal community. His son Rauf Arashukov was detained on January 30.

Rauf Arashukov was charged under three counts related to contract killings.
