Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued a notice on the 2020 central government’s support to the training of targeted free undergraduate medical students in rural areas in the central and western regions. The annual enrollment scale of colleges and universities shall adjust the enrollment structure on the basis of not increasing the enrollment scale of the corresponding majors of colleges and universities that undertake the task of training free medical students (hereinafter referred to as training colleges).
The "Notice" stipulates that the targeted enrollment plan for free undergraduate medical students supported by the central government is prepared separately in the undergraduate level enrollment source plan of the relevant school, and the nature of the plan is "national free medical students". Candidates who apply for the free medical orientation enrollment plan must take the national unified college entrance examination that year, implement single-column volunteers, set up batches, and separate lines, only enroll rural students, and enroll in batches in advance. When there are not enough students, the unfinished plan is recruited in order from high to low through voluntary recruitment, until the plan is completed.
The "Notice" pointed out that after admission of free targeted undergraduate medical students and before obtaining the admission notice, a targeted training and employment agreement must be signed with the county-level health, human resources and social security administration where the colleges and universities are located and where they are employed. The free registered undergraduate medical students' family registration will remain in the place of the original registration during the school year, and they can move to the place of targeted employment according to relevant regulations after graduation.
The "Notice" clarifies that free targeted undergraduate medical students only enroll rural students, and students applying for the test must also meet the following conditions: (1) Meet the unified college entrance examination registration requirements for 2020; (2) The household registration of the father and mother or legal guardian must be in rural , I have a local household registration for more than 3 consecutive years; (3) Other conditions prescribed by the province.
