General Director of Abu Dhabi Police, Major General Maktoum Al-Sharifi, confirmed that he included within the Abu Dhabi government’s strategy to limit the spread of the Corona virus, and after a comprehensive study through the national survey process to expand the scope of Covid virus-19 tests, the decision to restrict the temporary movement of individuals between the cities of Abu Dhabi as well as travel to and from the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as a continuation of a series of preventive measures to reduce the spread of the virus, and to return to normal life as quickly as possible.
He said that the economic activities that were allowed to return to practice the activity were chosen with complete care and with the application of all protective conditions required to maintain public health and community safety, calling on all to cooperate and commit to the success of the systematic survey process within the framework of the national survey project to expand the scope of the Covid-19 virus tests.
Abu Dhabi Police stressed the need for the public to adhere to the instructions issued regarding the prohibition of movement to and from Abu Dhabi and between its cities in order to avoid traffic congestion at the security points on the roads of the emirate, and to obtain permits from the Abu Dhabi Police website before commuting.
Abu Dhabi Police has activated 12 security points at the entrances and exits of Abu Dhabi cities to follow up the implementation of the decision issued by the Committee for the Management of Emergencies, Crises and Disasters resulting from the Corona pandemic, in support of the national survey project to limit the spread of the Covid 19 virus.
She stated that the security points on the main roads operate throughout the day for 24 hours a day during the decision to prohibit movement, as the residents of each city are allowed to move within their city according to the national sterilization program, and the ban includes moving between the cities of the emirate (Abu Dhabi - Al Ain - Al Dhafra) and entry and exit from And to the emirate, employees in the vital sectors and chronic disease owners are excluded to review hospitals and the necessary cargo movement.
The Abu Dhabi Police called for the necessity of all joining forces to succeed in the systematic survey process, explaining that the decision to prohibit movement between cities and from and outside Abu Dhabi came to complement the current series of measures and limit the spread of the new Corona virus.
