June 3, 2020 France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands have decided to form an alliance to produce a potential 19-vaccine vaccine.

The Dutch Ministry of Health points out: "We are jointly exploring various promising initiatives and discussing with various pharmaceutical companies, Germany,
France, Italy and the Netherlands are convinced that a successful result requires a joint strategy and investment," said the ministry.

The Alliance "is exploring promising vaccine development initiatives to ensure sufficient vaccines for the EU and other countries", especially low-income African ones.
