A man, sixty years old, was arrested during the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, in Rousson (Gard), while he was entrenched, armed, at his home for several hours, learned 20 Minutes from of François Schneider, the public prosecutor of Alès. The GIGN had been dispatched on the spot.
The man is suspected of having threatened his partner, who had managed to take refuge with the gendarmes, when they arrived on the scene.
Hospitalized automatically
After several hours of negotiations, the suspect, under the influence of alcohol, was subdued when he had just left his house. There were no injuries.
The man was automatically hospitalized, said the representative of the prosecution.
